Art of Embroidery is a family business where we perform all services right here in South-Central Pennsylvania. We do not outsource anything that we provide, so you can be sure that you are supporting small business right here in United States of America. Everything is done in house only.
You Read that Right!
To help us maintain our high quality standards, we do not send our digitizing or graphics work to outside companies. All work is done by family members using industry standard software.
You Get What You Pay For
In services and products, most commonly “you get what you pay for”. There are a lot of digitizing companies that promise fast turn around and very low prices. What they don’t tell you is that they are using automatic digitizing software, operated by a person that is not a master digitizer, and likely is not optimizing the machine embroidery design for the material which is being stitched.
If your design is a simple left or right chest logo going on a smooth or stable fabric, you’ll probably be just fine with auto digitizing. If you have a more complex design, especially on challenging fabrics or forms, then your success will be limited.
Many bargain digitizing companies do not perform a test stitchout of your design. They simply send you the machine embroidery file and wait for you to test it. Most of these companies will make corrections after you complain and send photographs of the stitched out design.
Digitizing Services – In House Only
As we custom digitize your design, we are doing it in house only. We use software to help us manually punch your machine design and create quality embroidery art. No crazy automatic digitizing done here.
We stitch out the designs we create for you, in house only, to make sure the design stitches well and truly meets our quality expectations. In some cases other family team members will review and critique the stitch-outs to improve quality results. For more information, see our Digitizing Services detail.
Artwork Services
Generally, we prefer you provide the final artwork for your designs, however we can help you with the finishing touches in house, only to improve your experience in the art of embroidery. Artwork can be raster or vector based – we even work from photographs. For more information, see our Artwork Requirements.
In House Only
You may have noticed a particular point we keep making in this post. We want to make it clear to our customers that we maintain control of your artwork and embroidery designs, without passing them off to third-parties.
We make no exception to our in house only policy!
