Embroidery is a Form of Art

Machine embroidery is a form of art. The official definition of ‘Art’ according to Merriam-Webster is:

something that is created with imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings

Here at Art of Embroidery we believe in providing quality service at a reasonable price. “Reasonable price” means that we do not charge for digitizing using the unfair industry practice, by stitch-count. You see, the number of stitches in a design has little to do with how much time or intellectual effort is needed to digitize them; therefore charging by the stitch-count is not appropriate.

Submit your artwork to us for a personalized quote. Send an e-mail with Raster or Vector artwork and include the machine type, fabric and size information for an accurate digitizing quote.

Embroidery Q&A

Why do you need to know what I am stitching on?

The type of fabric and the structure of the item will impact how your embroidery design stitches out. Understanding how you will use the embroidery design will help us digitize the design for your needs and ensure your success.

Why do you need to know my machine information?

We need to make sure we can provide the proper format file for your embroidery machine. Beyond that, the digitizing technique may be different for a single-needle machine without a cutter versus a multi-head, multi-needle machine.

Can I use my custom digitized design for retail purposes?

Use of stitch-outs from custom digitized files is subject to our licensing terms which typically includes resale of products containing stitch-outs of the design, however distribution of the embroidery design file is not permitted unless specially licensed per purchase.
